Residential Installation

Let's get into the finer details on how to get you the perfect energy solution!

First things we will need are your address, and a copy of your utility bill showing at least a year of energy bills.

With this information, we can see how much space we have to work with in order to put up the solar array, and we can break down your electrical usage, in order to find the best solution for your energy needs.

Do you want to lower your bills? Produce enough of your own electricity to receive net credits from your utility in order to have no bill? Have batteries or a backup generator in order to stay up when the grid goes down? Are you looking to add more appliances, a pool, or an EV? Are you planning on getting energy efficient items, changing usage habits in order to save energy, or making any other lifestyle changes that would affect your energy consumption? Do you want panels on your roof, a ground mount, or unsure? These are things to think about before you make your decision, because solar is not a one size fits all solution.

Once we figure out the exact system that fits your needs, we will create plan set showing all of the equipment and their locations on your property. Once approved, we send these documents and applications to your local county or city inspection office and your utility company. Depending on the speediness of those two groups, we could have permit ready in as little as 2 weeks or as long as 2 months. Once we get those permits, we will immediately contact you to set up an installation date!

We will contact you the day before install to make sure we are good to go, and then we'll see you at 8-9am unless otherwise specified by you! Once on site, we are going to go over the site plan again, getting your approval on panel and equipment locations, then we'll get right to the install!

At this point, most companies will tell you that the install will take less than one day. This is where we differ from our competitors. The one thing we will say to you is that we will work with you and your schedule to make sure that you will only be required to be HOME on one installation day, or 2 days if you are getting any battery or generator backup to your solar system. If the install takes more than the day, we will make certain that we only require outside work to be completed, so you can keep to any prior schedule and not have to wait on us!

After install, we will book our inspection which is usually pretty quick, and should be complete in 1-3 business days. Then, we send that passed inspection to your utility, which can sometimes take between 2 weeks to a month in order to verify, test, and reprogram or change their meter, and approve you to start using your solar system.

Once approved from the utility, we will activate your system, give you your own monitoring that can be accessed through your computer or cell phone, and you're ready to go! If you have any questions about the process, the monitoring, or the system in general, we are here for you before, during, and well after the install! Don't hesitate to reach out!
